The Grade Assessment Process would apply if you are looking to work towards your next job role. It requires you to be assessed on the competencies in the workplace. You should gather evidence relating to the work you are assessed on and upload it to your MTCS Online account for final verification and certification.

This involves completing units of competence (safety/emergency response/teamwork/technical/operational) that assess your performance and knowledge. The units of competence are mapped to IMCA guidelines and assessed in accordance with national codes of practice for vocational qualifications. If you do one or two assessments every trip you go on, it will take you 12–18 months to gather sufficient evidence.
Once you have gathered sufficient evidence you may upload it for final assessment and verification by MTCS.
After successful verification by MTCS you will be awarded your Certificate of Competence which is valid for three years.
Your GA course will provide instructions on how to proceed including uploading evidence, submitting evidence for verification and retrieving your certificate of competence.
