The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) have specified grades for positions throughout the international offshore, oil & gas and renewables industries.

For individuals working either in Denmark or offshore in the majority of these IMCA grades can undertake a MTCS Grade Assessment (GA) if they are looking to work towards their next job role, a process which requires them to be assessed on their competencies in the workplace.

For Danish personnel seeking a certificate of competence for the position they are currently employed in, they can complete an Individual Competence Assessment (ICA) in order to gain an MTCS Certificate of Competence.
