Leading specialist in competency and training solutions, MTCS (UK), has been working with the DOF Team in Australia to develop a new set of industry standard competencies for Inspection Engineers employed in the Asia Pacific region.
In collaboration, the companies have created a unique professional development course that incorporates the latest inspection techniques and draws on real-world experience.
The newly developed Inspection Competencies Certificate is a comprehensive framework for all Inspection Engineers, from new personnel to the industry right through to senior roles such as Senior Inspection Engineer and beyond.
MTCS and DOF recognise the importance of providing a route to Professional Development across the industry. To do this, the DOF team has agreed for the course to be made available to industry via the MTCS Competence Program on MTCS Online platform.
Richard Warburton, Managing Director of MTCS said; “We are delighted to have been approached by DOF Australia to collaborate on competencies for this critical sector of the subsea industry. We have successfully supported DOF with training and competence on a global basis for many years.
“It has been a pleasure working with their team in Australia who are at the forefront of Subsea Inspection in the Asia Pacific region. We believe the competencies we have produced will definitely complement existing and long-established Inspection Engineering Training’
Ray Smith, Survey & Inspection Manager, DOF APAC:“We believe promoting the highest standards in the inspection industry benefits our clients and the sector as a whole.
“The collaboration with MTCS has been exciting for our team. We have enjoyed playing an active part in creating material that will support Inspection Engineer’s professional development and add significant value to the Offshore industry.”
The Inspection Competencies will be available to download via MTCS Online by the end of February 2025. Personnel may apply for Certification via the standard MTCS Certification routes (Grade Assessment GA, Individual Competence Assessment ICA).
