MTCS announces partnership with Seaman Solutions
New partnership further supports seafarers requiring UK training and competence certification
MTCS (UK) Ltd has partnered with Seaman Solutions to provide offshore and maritime personnel with a more straightforward route to specialist training and independent competence certification.
The partnership brings together two complementary areas of maritime support.
Belgium-based Seaman Solutions supports seafarers with Seaman Book applications, maritime documentation and online STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping) training.
MTCS provides globally recognised, independent competence certification and specialist training across the marine, offshore, subsea and renewable energy sectors.
Bringing complementary services together
Seaman Solutions supports the practical and administrative requirements associated with working in the maritime industry, including Seaman Book applications, through its eSea Learning platform.
Specialist training and competence in safety critical activities (e.g. high voltage, high pressure hydraulics etc) cannot be completed remotely, and this is where MTCS provide additional support.
UK-based MTCS has more than 20 years’ experience providing Individual Competence Assessments (ICA), Grade Assessments (GA) and specialist training programmes. Rather than simply recording course attendance, MTCS certification provides independent confirmation of an individual’s knowledge, skills, experience and competence.

The partnership is particularly relevant to personnel working in, or looking to work in, safety critical roles in a number of maritime industry sectors, including:

MTCS Certificates of Competence remain with the individual, providing a recognised benchmark that can be presented when seeking employment or mobilisation opportunities.
